Sermon by President Nane Starnes from Psalm 118:24 admonishing to rejoice in the day the Lord made in the face of moral crisis in the current culture, civil rights violence and segregation being indications. A "bridge of confidence" should be built between Wake Forest College and the convention rather that the two extremes of making the college a "favorite whipping boy" or a "millstone about the neck" of the convention. The balance between rural and urban churches and the burden of missions are pressing issues. Fulfulling the 1964 Jubilee evangelism goals and rejoicing in 3400 Baptist churches, over a million members. Conclusion includes three foundations of Baptist beliefs - Bible as source, Imminent return of Jesus Christ and emphasis on the individual.
