- description
- Committee reports and resolutions continue. Pastor John Ryberg presents a convention Resolution on racism and Baptist condemnation of it, referencing the Prodigal Son and the Good Samaritan as opposing the recent issues with the Klu Klux Klan. The KKK are denounced as is their use of the cross as a symbol of hate. The convention focuses on opposing racial prejudice, as should be the goal for all Baptists. Dr. Perry Crouch launches a five year program for spiritual growth. Dr. E.W. Price discusses the enrollment increases in colleges that are not adequately met by eleven million dollars. The distribution of itemized funds from the cooperative program are enumerated by Mr. Spencer. Recommendations from the Book of Reports are rehearsed. Recording is abruptly interrupted at end.
