description
Faith Lockwood has worked in education since 1990. She has worked in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth Count Schools school system since 1999. Currently, Lockwood serves as a social worker. Although originally from Wllesley, Massachusetts, Lockwood has resided in Winston-Salem, North Carolina for about 40 years. In 1985, Lockwood received a Master's degree in religion from Wake Forest University. In this interview, Davis-Huie and Lockwood candidly discuss the current COVID-19 pandemic and its effects on her work as a social worker, her views on race in the United States, and her perspective on the current push for the Black Lives Matter movement. As a social worker, Lockwood is able to provide key insight into the racial tension that is present in the United States.
