Description
Discussion by Emanuel Carson of the Washington DC office of the Council on Public Affairs regarding recent issue, including the Dirksen Amendment that sought to change the First Amendment of the US Constitution to allow local govenment to grant permission for religious activites; it was defeated by the efforts of NC Senator Sam Ervin. The Baptist response to conflicts is a stewardship of religious freedom, emphasizing what realms of religion are legitimately effected by government such as land zoning.
